Thrice the charm!

One shirt, 3 ways. I just love this shirt so much that it has become a staple for me. It is loose, soft, striped and everything you want a shirt to be. I scored this in a sale a few months ago and needless to mention that it has been on repeat ever since. Every time I want to wear a shirt, I end up choosing this one. Guilty as charged! Stripes addiction it is.

Here are three of my favorite styles I created with this shirt. The first one is a semi formal look (very  ladylike), however, the other two are casual and fun. I love how stripes compliment the polka dots on  my skirt. I added yellow to keep the look young and peppy.  The second one is a girly look with extra -extra dose of  stripes through a pair of striped sneakers and a hat. The third look caters to the tomboy in me. I paired the shirt with a  high-waist pleated shorts. With a backpack as funky as this, I settled for a less attention seeking shoes, nude lace oxfords.

Long story short: As long as you flaunt a different style every time, there is no shame in repeating your favorite item of clothing.

For the love of prints!

I have a weakness for fit and flare printed dresses. However, you don't have to be my size to know my challenges at finding a print that wouldn't overwhelm my short frame. So, it was pretty understandable for me to have pounced on this dress the moment I saw it from a considerable distance. It wasn't exactly my size but being petite means alterations don't scare us.  Few minor alterations later, it fitted me like a dream. I wore it the same day cause its getting colder and soon we won't be able to leave our shoulders uncovered.  A backpack, lace up shoes and stacked junk on my wrist, I was ready for a day of street shopping. Hop, hop, shop shop!

Beach please!

Eat, beach, eat, beach, eat beach, repeat!! This is what my last 24 hours in Goa looked like. I spent as much time as I possibly could on the beach, but, how does one get enough of the ocean air, salty hair, sand, sun set and the horizon. For me a barefoot walk on the sand looking at the distant horizon while sound of the waves play a soothing tune is pure bliss. Just din't want to head back to the chaos of our life back home but had to! Beach din't mind my multiple attempts at trying to pack it in  my suitcase. Beach, I am missing you terribly. See you soon!

Wanderlust!

A perfect day to set out  to discover a place as beautiful as Goa is done best without a map and a defined destination. Well, that's what we thought too when we were staying at a village in Goa, but, soon it all turned out to be our worst nightmare. The same sun that looked bright and shiny before we started, now seemed no less than a dragon pouring fire waves at us from above, and the same belt of abandoned Portuguese houses on both sides of the road that once looked intriguing, now reminded us of 'Walking dead'. The sun just din't leave any stone unturned at showing off its skills at making us sweat like pigs. Ok sun! We get it that fire is your thing, but, it isn't ours so, please could you be a lil kinder to us the next time we get lost. And, whoever told us that every place worth visiting was just 5 mins away had mean plans for us. After walking non-stop for two hours, our limbs gave up on us. Good thing I was comfortably dressed in a cotton printed dress and lace up flats or else..? Lets just leave it at that. Never again! A map is a must for our next sight seeing adventure, but, for now lets just make it back alive in one piece. And yes, we performed all kind of gigs to get a ride back to our hotel only to cool off in the same pool we said goodbye to, for sight seeing. So much for collecting visual evidence of our visit to this lil village called Britona.
