Faux (pas) of Leather!!!!

I am not a fan of leather, wait, only till I spot something great in my size. It was love at first sight and this uber sexy faux leather skirt wasn't even my size so to say, but, love is unconditional and sizeless, so didn't hold back from buying it. Its so versatile that even my husband is not worried about this investment.

If you own a leather garment already, you'll know how difficult it is to get leather outfits altered and I was already
pushing my luck too far getting the right fit for a very non-existent waist. But, never one to give up on clothes, finally got it to sit well on my tiny waist. This skirt is easy to be styled for both fun and work, so, warning you way ahead, you may spot me wearing it too often. Love makes you do crazy things.

I have a huge pile of printed tops to go with my skirt, however, monochrome stripes blew me away when added with the deep Red color of the skirt, I instantly knew how I am wearing it.

For a work look:
I decided to tone down the sexiness of the skirt and paired it with a polished midi-sleeved blouse and classy pointed heels. I love how gold accentuates the Red, so, hints of gold through the guitar locket, studs on the heels, gold on printed clutch and the leather love wristband.

For a fun look : My heart went in the crop top direction and high-tops shoes. I kept the same accessories as the look above. Woohoho!!! Ready for a crazy day, jump and fly, sing too many songs and dance all night, do whatever you want to do, these shoes aren't giving up on you any soon.

Leather is always in fashion and is super stylish. A word to wise, its very versatile and not meant only for bikers, we just need to style it better and not give in to the obvious biker chic feel of it. You can incorporate leather in your wardrobe in any form like tights, pencil/ pleated skirt, dresses and tops. Let your imagination lead you to give leather a girly makeover or an edgy punk feel, its rocking either way .

I hope I have charmed you enough to invest in a leather outfit now. Do tell me how do you style your leather?

When in doubt, go BOHO!!!

This hide and seek monsoon has one thing going, gloominess. Its time I made peace with it and embraced it in my looks, just like a chameleon cornered for survival, camouflaging strikes in and so does the inspiration, bang!!!!

Crop top trend isn't dying down any sooner, and so is my craze for them, but, you know it already. So, if you haven't tried one yet, you are clearly missing out on an effortless cool look, try one, NOWWW!!!!!

No chocolates for guessing, I went boho, again, with my high-low hem printed chiffon skirt. Its light as a feather and just perfect for this season.
Accessorized a necklet as a headband, a guitar locket as a ring, swarovski studs for more bling and stacked all the gold bangles I could find. As much as I wanted to go barefeet, my Red pumps and gold envelope clutch were to help put my boho on a low down for a clubbing night. Already dancing to this tune in my head...I like to move it move it, I like to....Move it...huh!!! Go, put your dancing shoes on!!!

Beat the Heat!!!!

Well, if ever was a perfect time to run around showing off some skin, its now. Hot, sticky weather makes any piece of clothing feel heavier and the craving for a breezy beach just gets stronger than ever. Not going to rub it in too much, we Delhites do not have the luxury to don a swimsuit and head to a beach for a sun downer, but, we do what we do best, cut it close with a chilled beer and a cold shower. An occasional dip in a pool doesn't hurt either, only if you know swimming.

Summers offer an excuse perfect enough to dig in for clothes with sheer fabric, cropped hems, cut outs, bare midriff, plunging neckline, deep cut and open backs. Other than buying, I also indulge in occasional chopping off of my tees to make new crop tops. However, they are as exciting as overwhelming, don't tell me that I dint warn you. I try not to do too much when styling tops/dresses with one/or more of these, but going minimal isn't my thing either. I usually balance it out with a statement accessory or two.

My new ear cuff arrived the same morning I took this fuchsia dress out of its hiding. I ran around the house, jumping, howling, holding the ear cuff like I have found a missing piece of a puzzle. The tasseled, spiked ear cuff complemented my big chunky ring and studded heels so much that I had to take it for a spin right away. To hell with going minimal, I am all in for a risk. And Man, did it pay off? Well, you let me know.

Cut the Crap!!!

When life throws lemons at me, I make lemonade. Nah, actually when life gives me crap,  I make cropped Tees. This is how I cut the crap out of my life, how do you?

Well, let's get started, believe me you, this is a highly effective, tried and tested 3-step process to beat the hell out of any kinda crap.

Step 1: Take a Tee/top (Not ready to sacrifice yours? Steal one)

Step 2: Mark the crap (Don't hold back now. Its like letting go of people/things that make you feel like crap. Bigger the crap, bigger the cut)

Step 3: Cut the crap out ( You mean business, there is no better revenge, just go for it!!)

Hurray!!!!!! You already feel awesome, but, do one better, flaunt the cropped Top to the one who gave you the crap.

So, next time someone gives you crap, crop it ;)
