As a kid, summers meant more playtime, more sunshine, more ice-cream, more fruits, more flowers and obvioulsy more happiness. Now it's a synonym of a season of multiple application of sunblocking creams, all thanks to a free treat of penetrating hot UV rays. I am constantly worried that I'll get evaporated the moment I step out in the sun. However, the kid in me still looks forward to summers, who would miss a chance to put the sun to shame in drool worthy summer prints, I know I won't.
I am a master of DIYs and my mum is my partner in crime. So, now you know who to turn to, if my DIYs are all over the place. She runs a boutique and whenever she finds a cute print, she'll try and save a piece for me if not the entire thing. All thanks to my tiny frame, irrespective of the length of the material she is left with, it always proves big enough for a new wardrobe staple for me.
Survival instincts kick in on hot summer afternoons with floral prints. This one is more than perfect to liven up any dull afternoon and that's exactly my plan too. So, here is a new summer cotton dress that I would be living out of for most of my summer afternoons from here on.
